Hello everyone!
I am so sorry it's been so long since I've updated this blog! Without further ado, I'm going to jump right into an update:
As of a few weeks ago I am off the Diamox I was taking to reduce the cranial pressure which caused this mess in the first place. The pressure and optic nerve swelling are gone, thanks in part (or wholly, we're unsure) to the weight I have lost from the lap band surgery. Unfortunately there isn't any improvement in my eyesight, however the brain is an amazing thing and has been filling in "blank spots" allowing my functionality to improve (ie I haven't walked into anything in quite a while!).
Well, that's pretty much it for now! Again, sorry for the huge gap between posts! I promise I'll try to do better!
In the meantime, I've found a Facebook Group on Pseudotumor Cerebri/Intracranial Hypertension which explains the disorder and provides information for both those who suffer from the condition as well as their friends and family. Check it out!
